Employee Spotlight for July at MediLodge of Westwood!

I chose MediLodge of Westwood because I felt that the center has a good reputation for rehabilitation. Amy, the PT, and OT staff are professional and take a vital interest in developing a plan of activities to address needs with the goal of getting you strong. The staff, nurses, and aides all take care of your every need cheerfully twenty-four hours a day.

I would like to acknowledge that nursing homes are not hospitals. I have a brother that had a horrible stroke and is now diagnosed with vascular dementia. It has been a real struggle as this is the seventh facility he has resided at. The one shining light in all this tragedy has been Kristi Uribe. Kristi possesses such an amazing attitude and complete devotion to the patients at Medilodge. I have witnessed this throughout my brothers care; she is such a wonderful wonderful person, she has made my brothers stay and care remarkable. I feel we won’t have my brother much longer, but by the grace of God, Kristi has come into his life when we needed it the most. My sister and I cannot thank Kristi enough for the care that she has shown for my brother.

Thank you for all that you did for my grandmother, Dorothy Erikson, and for all your special help. Words alone cannot truly express my gratitude!

This is the best place to learn how to walk again. They are friendly and caring. I thank all of them for the great job they did.

MediLodge of Westwood is a good place. Therapy is very persistent. I would recommend MediLodge of Westwood for anyone looking for a rehabilitation center. They have a good therapy team. Rooms are nice; especially the private rooms with a TV and refrigerator so that I can have the food and drinks that I like. I like the staff here; they are very nice. The other residents are awesome and make sure you get to know them. There are a lot of nice activities here that give you something to do.

This facility made me feel loved and cared for. Even late at night when I needed help, they were always there. The physical therapy team really stood out because they really do care about your recovery. They make you believe in yourself. Also, the nursing assistants are the best. They care for you with love! This is the best place to recover!

I’m happy to be going home. Feels like I’m leaving my second family and will miss you all. I had a great stay and will return if ever needed a rehab stay again.

On March 10, 2021, Virginia came to us for Long Term Care. Virginia worked hard at building her endurance and strength and graduated from wheelchair to walker. On April 15, 2021, Virginia was able to discharge back to the community! We are so proud of her and her hard work!  

I chose MediLodge of Westwood because it is close to home. All of the team members were fantastic and very caring. I would recommend this facility to others.

I wish that I could have more time at MediLodge of Westwood. It was very helpful and the staff and therapy program were all great!
